This project was based off of a book called Mouse Paint. We used cut out several different mice using an original to trace and then painted the mice different colors. We were taught how to mix colors and what colors gave us secondary colors. I really enjoyed this lesson, it was taught well and the key concepts are very important to the age group taught.
As an extension activity I think I would have students create the cat and cut it out and instead of pasting the mice on their pallets the kids can tell the story.
