This is a mothers day gift based off of stained glass. First we learned about stained glass and a little history behind it. Then we were given these glass bottles and pieces of tissue paper and modgepodge. we covered our glass bottles in modgepodge then added the pieces all over. We started at the bottom then worked our way up. We needed to add three layers to get the right effect. Once we finished we created a flower using a straw and more tissue paper.
As an extension activity I would have students make a card and use the same effect on the outside of the card maybe they can use markers instead of tissue paper. This way the students would still be able to write on the inside.
